About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Site Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all construction activities on site, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all construction activities on site, including supervising construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure that construction materials and equipment are delivered to site on time and in good condition.
- Monitor and inspect all construction work to ensure that it meets the required quality and safety standards.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate project schedule, budget, and resources.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, to provide project updates and address any issues that may arise.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project progress, costs, and any changes to the original scope of work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
