Job Description
Where You’ll Make an Impact
This organisation is actively scaling automation across operations, finance, and customer workflows. The foundation is already in place — Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI Dataflows, and SQL are in use — but the next phase needs a builder who can go deeper, connect systems properly, and raise the bar.
You’ll work closely with an API-focused developer on customer integrations (Shopify, webhooks, HTML/JS) while owning the internal automation and data layer. The culture rewards curiosity, shipping real value, and proving ROI — not bureaucracy.
Why join?
You won’t just “support” automation — you’ll define how it’s done, scale what works, and visibly improve how teams operate day to day.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Designing and shipping internal apps using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI Dataflows)
- Modelling and maintaining SQL datasets (tables, views, stored procedures) that power reporting and app back-ends
- Owning system and customer integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and Shopify Admin APIs
- Collaborating with an API developer to deliver clean handoffs between Power Platform and HTML/JavaScript solutions
- Automating workflows across Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Lists, Teams), including approvals, alerts, validations, and exception handling
- Measuring automation impact through usage metrics, runtime performance, and ROI snapshots
- Prototyping quickly, documenting patterns, and enabling reuse across the business
What You’ll Need to Bring
Your experience
- Proven delivery of production Power Apps and Power Automate flows
- Hands-on experience with Power BI Dataflows connected to SQL sources
- Strong integration experience using REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, Postman, and common authentication patterns
Your technical toolkit
- Solid SQL skills: relational modelling, joins, CTEs, data validation
- Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript, especially in the context of integrations
- Understanding of Shopify apps, webhooks, and admin APIs
Mindset & non-negotiables
- Comfortable shipping MVPs with guardrails
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
- Curious, pragmatic, and confident experimenting in production-grade environments
Nice to have
- Experience with logistics or e-commerce platforms (e.g. Parcel Perfect, Valuent, Shopify)
- PowerShell or Python for operational scripting
- Exposure to CI/CD or environment management within Power Platform
The Tech You’ll Be Working With
Power Apps
– Power Automate
– Power BI (Dataflows)
– SQL Server / Azure SQL
– SharePoint & Lists
– Microsoft Teams
– REST APIs
– Webhooks
– HTML / JavaScript
– Shopify Admin API
