About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a motivated Junior Engineer Consultant in Fire Protection to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of fire protection systems, conducting calculations and analyses, and collaborating with senior engineers to prepare technical documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of fire protection systems in accordance with local codes and standards.
- Conduct calculations and analyses for various fire protection systems including sprinkler systems and fire alarms.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to prepare technical documents, reports, and specifications.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing fire protection systems and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to fire protection engineering.
- Support project management activities and maintain project documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of fire protection principles and relevant codes and standards.
- 1-3 years of experience in fire protection engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or Revit is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a team and independently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the fire protection engineering field.
