Job Description
Verify WIP existence and reconcile to the General Ledger
Prepare monthly management, production, and stock cost reports
Review standard cost updates and ensure accurate cost rollups
Analyse material & production variances and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate perpetual inventory analyses and monthly stock counts
Review stock adjustments; reconcile inventory to the General Ledger and resolve issues
Lead Excess & Obsolete inventory reviews and actions
Review consumables, rework burden, and cleanout accounts for accuracy/trends
Assist with monthend journals and required management reporting
Safeguard ERP data integrity via analysis, internal checks, and crossfunctional Coordination
Conduct risk assessments and advise on mitigation measures.
Support internal and external audits with schedules, evidence, and query resolution
Coordinate monthly stock counts across operational areas.
Deliver adhoc finance tasks as directed by the Financial Director/Manager
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (cost accounting/inventory/variance analysis)
Advanced Excel proficiency (complex analysis, modelling, pivots, lookups)
Sage experience advantageous
Good working knowledge of tax in a manufacturing context.
Exceptional attention to detail, calm under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines
Proven management experience, able to lead and develop a small team
BCom Accounting or Equivalent
CIMA (Completed & Registered) non-negotiable Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
