Job Description
About the Role
The GMR2 Services Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a 15 MVA plant, ensuring uptime at a required standard, and controlling maintenance costs within the budget. This role requires strong technical skills, good communication abilities, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the plant and ensure that uptime is at a required standard
- Control Maintenance costs according to the budget
- Maintain absenteeism above target
- Investigate and make recommendations with regard to improved performance
- Enforce discipline and good housekeeping
Requirements
- National Diploma / B.Tech Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Must be in possession of a government certificate of competency (GCC) in line with the power generated
- A minimum of 5 years in a similar position
- Above average computer skills
- Good communication and presentation skills on all levels on the business
