About the Role

OttoBauthentic is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager to oversee the operations of our Port Elizabeth branch. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in road freight and logistics, demonstrating leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate day-to-day branch operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Coordinate and optimize the use of resources, including vehicles, personnel, and equipment
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure and accident-free work environment
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work culture, promoting teamwork and open communication
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our services
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion and collaborate with the sales team to secure new clients
  • Address client concerns and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Develop and manage the branch budget, ensuring financial targets are met
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate billing and invoicing
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards
  • Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high service levels
  • Conduct regular audits to assess and improve operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric Qualification
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in road freight and logistics management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
