About the Role
OttoBauthentic is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager to oversee the operations of our Port Elizabeth branch. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in road freight and logistics, demonstrating leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate day-to-day branch operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
- Coordinate and optimize the use of resources, including vehicles, personnel, and equipment
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure and accident-free work environment
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals
- Foster a positive and collaborative work culture, promoting teamwork and open communication
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our services
- Identify opportunities for business expansion and collaborate with the sales team to secure new clients
- Address client concerns and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
- Develop and manage the branch budget, ensuring financial targets are met
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate billing and invoicing
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards
- Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high service levels
- Conduct regular audits to assess and improve operational efficiency
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in road freight and logistics management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
