About the Role
We are seeking a Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Technologist (Structural) with approximately 5 years experience in structural engineering to join our growing team. The role involves the analysis, design, and detailing of structural systems, working closely with multidisciplinary teams from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for concrete, steel, and masonry structures
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and technical reports
- Review and coordinate structural designs with other engineering disciplines
- Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and regulations
- Conduct site inspections, assessments, and construction support
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Assist with mentoring and guiding junior engineers and technologists
- Contribute to project planning, cost control, and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation
Requirements
- BEng (Civil Engineering) or BTech (Civil Engineering) qualification
- Approximately 5 years experience in structural engineering
- Solid experience in structural design of reinforced concrete and structural steel
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g. Prokon, ETABS, SAP2000 or similar)
- Competency in AutoCAD and/or BIM software advantageous
