Duties & Responsibilities
- Matching GRN with stock delivered.
- Ensuring correct dispatch of stock upon individual orders.
- Ensure clear communication between accounts department and warehouse.
- Preparation of orders for delivery.
- Verifying receipts as well as confirming purchase orders are completed.
- Maintain supply and demand of inventory and ensure that there is adequate stock on hand.
- Develop plans for purchasing and control of supplies.
- Creating and maintaining a detailed inventory of all incoming/outgoing and current supplies.
- Monitoring inventory and supplies that need restocking as well as preventing overstocking and ordering.
- Overseeing the removal of stock from shipment delivery trucks.
- Handling all incoming damaged goods.
- Monitoring and ensuring deliveries are received and sent as well as ensuring supplied stock meets demand.
- Handling FIFO management of stock as well as performing daily and physical stock counts
- Monthly accurate Stock Take.
- Manage vehicles, drivers, couriers and import clearing agents.
- Customer service.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 5 + years in similar role
- Contactable references
- Must be well spoken and have pride in what you do
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Previous experience having worked in a stock control or receiving related role is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication are essential
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to put a paper trail in place
- Previous excel experience preferred
- Must be able and open to manual Labour (carrying of boxes)
- It would be advantageous if you live in the area.
- Diploma will be an advantage
- Must have matric
- Able to work independently and punctual
- Well-groomed and presentable
- Stable work history
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must have strong mathematical skills
- Must be technical with regard to tools and machinery
