About the Role
Faircape Health, a division of the Faircape Group, is seeking experienced and compassionate Carers to join our team at luxury lifestyle villages in the Western Cape. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to a diverse range of patients. We cater to the needs of patients requiring long term care, sub acute rehabilitation, and respite care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with their daily living activities in accordance with the individualised care plan.
- Provide comprehensive personal hygiene care to residents, including bathing, showering, dressing, and personal grooming.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and participate in daily activities such as taking residents for daily walks, accompanying residents during meal times, assisting with feeding of residents when required, and accompanying residents to activities.
- Chart all activities with residents on our electronic system, Healthware, using the provided company cellphone.
- Report any changes or concerns in a resident’s condition promptly to your senior.
- Comply with company policies and procedures related to infection control and health and safety.
- Be on camera watch duty on a rotational basis (night shifts) to monitor resident safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carer or experience in a similar environment.
- Knowledge of caring principles in caring for the aged, including Dementia care, Palliative care, and Rehabilitative care.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and genuinely care about and understand the feelings of residents, showing kindness and concern in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Acknowledged Carer training from a reputable organisation is advantageous.
- SETA accreditation is an advantage.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive Basic Salary plus Sundays work, Public holidays, Quarterly bonuses, and additional shifts worked.
- A night shift allowance will be included for those working night shifts only.
