Johannesburg: Transport Supervisor

Job Title: Transport Supervisor Reporting to: General Manager Type: Permanent Location: JHB – Eastern Suburbs Duties and Responsibilities: Dispatch & Route Management Plan and dispatch all trucks daily, with schedules prepared in advance. Communicate dispatch changes promptly to drivers. Optimise routes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Driver Leadership & Communication Provide leadership and guidance to drivers. Maintain constant communication and address challenges proactively. Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement. Fleet Monitoring & Control Track vehicles using tracking systems and monitor cameras. Report incidents or accidents promptly. Fleet Maintenance, Tyre & Mechanical Management Oversee truck and trailer maintenance and tyre management. Manage mechanical issues and maintenance schedules. Compliance & Administration Ensure driver and vehicle licences are up to date. Maintain accurate transport-related records and reporting.
