About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients to generate repeat business and referrals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients to generate repeat business and referrals
  • Communicate with customers via telephone and email regarding new orders, outstanding orders, and stock availability
  • Provide excellent customer service and accurate product information
  • Prepare quotations and pro-forma invoices
  • Process orders for both account and COD (cash on delivery) customers
  • Ensure account customers have sufficient credit available before processing orders
  • Confirm full payment has been received from COD customers prior to placing orders
  • Process delivery notes
  • Follow up with customers who haven’t purchased in a while
  • Perform general administrative tasks as required
  • Assist with the annual stock take

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 3 years of sales experience, preferably in textiles, fashion, or garment manufacturing
  • Proven background in textile and garment manufacturing sales
  • Fully bilingual (spoken and written) with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Own reliable vehicle and valid drivers license, with willingness to travel frequently

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our growing team at Relativ Media, a leading South African out-of-home media company. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across our expanding digital portfolio and developing long-term strategic partnerships with brands and agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach, and onboard new clients, with a focus on trade marketing and retail-oriented brands.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across agencies, brand teams, and retail groups.
  • Develop long-term strategic partnerships that maximize brand presence across Relativs network.
  • Drive advertising sales across Relativ Medias non-traditional platforms including the Padel and Shell Forecourt networks.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through proactive prospecting and consultative selling.
  • Develop customized proposals and pitches tailored to client objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to translate brand objectives into innovative OOH and digital DOOH solutions.
  • Work closely with the operations and creative teams to ensure campaign delivery aligns with client expectations.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide clients with actionable insights and reports.

Requirements

  • 45 years of experience in advertising sales, media sales, or trade marketing, preferably within the OOH or digital media space.
  • Previous experience working within or with advertising agencies (brand management or client service background advantageous).
  • Strong understanding of trade marketing dynamics and shopper behavior in retail environments.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with a high level of drive, enthusiasm, and commercial acumen.
  • Strong network within the marketing, retail, and agency sectors.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, and CRM systems (HubSpot or similar).
