About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and driven Restaurant Manager to join our upmarket Franschhoek restaurant. As part of our team, you will be responsible for handling daily operations, overseeing staff, and controlling both front of house and terrace service in terms of quality of food, drinks, and tapas served for wine tasting sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle daily operations and oversee staff
  • Control front of house and terrace service in terms of quality of food, drinks, and tapas
  • Coordinate small group functions and daily communication with various suppliers, wine makers, industry partners
  • Liaise with the head chef and kitchen team
  • Manage ordering and menu suggestions
  • Effectively manage daily bookings, invoices, emails, and correspondence
  • Staff scheduling and meetings to discuss menu highlights, set up requirements, and service standards
