About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Group FP&A Senior Data Analyst to join our team in Cape Town City Centre for a 9-month contract. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing a new Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) tool that meets business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, configuration, and rollout of the FP&A tool, ensuring business requirements are met
- Oversee data cleansing, migration, and reconciliation to maintain integrity
- Execute user acceptance testing (UAT) for system validation
- Define reporting hierarchies and structures to support scalability
- Validate system integration and quality assurance in collaboration with IT and vendors
- Design and configure the structure of the three core financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) within the FP&A system
- Ensure accurate linkage and interdependencies for integrated reporting and forecasting
- Enable automation of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Support Power BI integration and establish data models
- Deliver training programs and lead change management initiatives for finance teams
- Conduct thorough system testing to ensure reliability
- Streamline Board pack preparation using system features
- Optimize workflows for month-end close and variance analysis
- Automate agency reporting templates to improve efficiency
- Configure reporting structures for management and board-level visibility
- Partner with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
- Monitor data accuracy and consistency across financial models
- Develop documentation and guidelines for system usage
- Provide ongoing support and enhancements post-implementation
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in reporting and automation processes
Requirements
- Minimum 8 plus years of experience in finance
- Qualification: Degree plus experience PA(SA), AGA(SA) or similar advantageous, but not required
