About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Utility Operator to join our team at Empire Recruitment in Gauteng. As a key member of our casting operations, you will be responsible for supporting production tasks and contributing to achieving shift production targets. If you are a disciplined individual who understands the importance of teamwork and meeting production targets in a structured industrial environment, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tasks safely and efficiently in line with company operating procedures and safety regulations
- Support casting operations and assist with delegated production tasks as per completed training
- Contribute to achieving shift production targets (quality and quantity)
- Follow metallurgical, operational and safety procedures in line with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and OHSAS standards
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure 5S principles are upheld
- Participate in continuous improvement and suggestion initiatives
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Requirements
- Secondary school certificate
- Minimum 1 year industrial or manufacturing experience
- Basic Occupational Health & Safety knowledge
- Hazard awareness training advantageous
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Strong team player with a responsible work ethic
