About the Role
The Foreman position at Route Management requires a skilled and experienced individual to oversee daily operations in the trailer repair workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of quality control, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all work in process in trailer repair workshop
- Provide excellent pre and post-sale service
- Ensure that housekeeping is done on a daily basis
- Evaluate the skills level of the production team
- Provide additional training to team where needed
- Material inspection daily, liaising with stores to ensure proper material planning
- Quality control on the work being done throughout repair
- Compiling of daily, weekly, monthly reports
- Evaluation of damaged trailers
- Ad-hoc tasks
Requirements
- Matric
- Bilingual
- Must be well acquainted with health and safety regulations and ensure that it is practiced accordingly
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the trailer manufacturing and repairs
- Minimum of 5 years experience in supervisory role
- Qualification in Trade (Boilermaker, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter) will be an advantage
- Own transport
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Extensive trailer and trailer part knowledge
- Experience in Hydraulics, airbrakes, air suspension
