Job Description
Our client in the mining industry is looking for an experienced IT Supervisor to join their team in the Hotazel, NC. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the mining or related industries to effectively centralize and optimize IT management within the organization. The successful candidate will oversee data centralization, software integration, intranet maintenance, and website management while ensuring seamless IT operations. This role will also support project lifecycle coordination, system updates, and document control processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain current systems, including Sage, Wifi, Radio, Network Shared Drives, Printers, Cloud Services, Microsoft Server Environment, CCTV, Video Conferencing, and PABX Telephony across the organization.
- Develop and update IT standard guidelines and company websites to meet operational needs.
- Provide technical advice and system training to staff.
- Implement new IT solutions, including analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, deployment, and training, in line with business requirements.
- Manage, negotiate, and liaise with external IT service providers and internal users to ensure system functionality.
- Coordinate the entire project lifecycle, including scope management, business requirements, specifications, testing, deployment, and data backup.
- Provide first-level support for system modules across departments.
- Execute project management communication plans, track project status, and report on performance, issues, and risks.
- Perform regular system health checks, backups, preventive maintenance, and ensure server and system functionality across the organization.
- Recommend IT strategies and policies, stay updated on industry trends, and ensure compliance with company safety policies while completing additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the mining or related industries.
- In-depth knowledge of software and hardware.
- Experience in creating and managing IT budgets.
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting technical issues.
- Proficiency in network administration and cybersecurity practices.
- Expertise in data management and system integration.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
