About the Role
Unique Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Buyer to join our team, responsible for purchasing goods, machinery, equipment, raw materials, and parts for internal consumption. The successful candidate will handle all purchasing functions and responsibilities while adhering to project requirements and identifying cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchases goods, machinery, equipment, raw materials, and parts for internal consumption
- Handles all purchasing functions and responsibilities
- Adheres to project requirements and identifies cost savings
- Expedite deliveries
- Works cross-functionally within a matrix organisational team structure on multiple projects simultaneously
- Forecasts demand for services and products to meet business needs and monitors stock levels
- Liaises between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments, and customers to ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives
- Identifies potential suppliers, visits existing suppliers, builds, and maintains good relationships with them
- Negotiates and agrees contracts and monitors their progress
- Checks the quality of service provided
- Conducts research to ascertain best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules, and quality
- Assesses all suppliers and provides feedback to management
Requirements
- 3 experiences in Buyer role
- Sound communication and negotiation skills
- Strong personality
- Ability to work independently and multitask
- Drivers License
- Leadership Skills
- Technical Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Good understanding of accruals and cut off dates
