About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment across the plant. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-driven, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance
  • Execute and improve the planned maintenance system and update technical documentation
  • Drive automation improvements, including PLC, VSD, and VFD fault finding, diagnosis, and AC/DC drive configuration
  • Assist with capital and non-capital project execution, including equipment commissioning
  • Perform job costing, material requisitions, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate job card documentation and report on maintenance activities daily
  • Ensure all work meets SABS/SANS 10142-01-2012 standards and includes COC where required

Requirements

  • Red Seal qualified Millwright with N4 Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical and electrical experience
  • Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems
  • Proficient in fault-finding, panel wiring, and understanding of electrical drawings
  • Computer-literate with knowledge of MS Office and maintenance systems
