About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Millwright to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
- Minimise production downtime through efficient troubleshooting and repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of plant and equipment
- Assist with machine installations, upgrades, and commissioning
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures
- Provide after-hours support when required
Requirements
- Qualified Millwright with a completed Trade Test and Red Seal certification
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
- Experience with PLCs, drives, motors, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and production machinery
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of preventative and planned maintenance systems
