Job Description

To support and grow sales of slurry pumps and spares within the mining and mineral processing sectors by working closely with existing distributors and key accounts. The role combines strong sales ability with technical competence to help distributor partners identify opportunities, close sales, and provide customers with effective, reliable solutions. Key Responsibilities: Build strong working relationships with appointed distributors and channel partners, supporting them with product knowledge, pricing, and sales strategies. Conduct joint sales calls and site visits with distributors to promote slurry pumps, spares and technical problem solving. Provide technical support and product training to distributor sales teams. Assist distributors with quotation preparation, tender submissions, and project follow-ups. Identify and develop new business opportunities through existing channels and new potential partners. Monitor distributor performance and ensure alignment with company sales targets and brand standards. Gather and report market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer feedback. Liaise with internal engineering, logistics, and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth order execution. Achieve agreed sales, margin, and market growth objectives. Key Requirements: Minimum 2-4 years experience in technical or industrial sales, ideally in the mining or process equipment sector. Familiarity with slurry pumps, process pumps, or materials handling systems will be a strong advantage. Experience working with distributors or indirect sales channels is desirable. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel regularly to distributor locations and mine sites. Good communication and teamwork skills. Strong sales drive with a proactive, target-orientated approach. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills. Technical aptitude and the ability to explain engineering concepts clearly. Collaborative mindset enjoys working through others and supporting partners success. Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities. Previous experience with slurry pumps, centrifugal pumps, or similar heavy-duty equipment. Professional, trustworthy, and customer-focused attitude. Proficient in Microsoft off and CRM systems. Education and Qualifications: Qualification in sales Alternative a strong technical background in the industry (fitter/millwright) Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, mining engineer, or a related technical field (adventurous but not essential). KPIs Sales volume and revenue achieved through distributors. Distributor engagement and satisfaction levels. Growth in territory coverage and market share. Timely and accurate reporting and forecasting. Effectiveness of training and support provided to distributors.
