About the Role

A national FMCG and retail company is seeking a Food Department Manager to join our team in Meyerton, South Africa. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the food market to maximize sales in line with budget and targets
• Ensure departmental sales meet budget objectives
• Maximize sales through effective use of selling space, displays, layouts, commercial plans, and demos
• Deliver a consistent customer shopping experience in line with service standards
• Manage operational standards, stock accuracy, and controls for shrinkage and waste
• Ensure timely replenishment of stock
• Implement and monitor all departmental activities
• Manage Hot Foods standards
• Conduct weekly risk documentation

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Tertiary qualification advantageous
• Bilingual: Afrikaans and English
• 12 years supervisory experience
• Computer literacy
• 68 months experience in Foods department advantageous
