About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Foreman to lead our team in maintaining a high-performance workshop for tautliner and tipper trailers. As a key member of our transport operation, you will be responsible for overseeing repairs, maintenance, and quality control, while ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Running and supervising both the workshop and wash bay
- Managing a team: hiring, training, scheduling, delegating
- Overseeing repairs & maintenance on tautliner and tipper trailers
- Ensuring every job card, work order and database entry is accurate
- Enforcing strict health & safety standards
- Inspecting equipment, machinery and the entire workshop environment
- Maintaining quality, productivity and cleanliness at all times
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Qualified Mechanic / similar trade
- 2 years experience in a transport/logistics workshop
- 2 years hands-on experience with tautliner and/or tipper trailers
- Medically fit and willing to work overtime/weekends
- Strong, respected leadership presence
Qualifications
- Qualified mechanic background (or similar)
Salary & Benefits
R30 000 – R40 000 CTC per month
