Cape Town City Centre: Site Supervisor

About the Role

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of construction sites in Cape Town City Centre, while also maintaining client satisfaction and adhering to labour-related HR/IR processes. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health and safety hazards, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic site inductions and safety briefings
  • Assess and manage occupational health and safety hazards
  • Ensure appropriate site rules are in place
  • Equip employees with correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Assist with coordination of staff on site
  • Maintain sound knowledge of labour-related HR/IR processes
  • Closely work with payroll data to ensure accurate employee shift records
  • Focus on productivity on site and maintain a well-organized workspace
  • Mediate issues and resolve conflicts, including involvement in disciplinary action
  • Demonstrate an understanding of legal responsibilities

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role in the Temporary Employment Services (TES) industry or Logistics & Warehousing Industries
  • MS Excel proficiency
  • Great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable leading a team and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Valid Drivers License
