Job Description

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Administration Identify and open new customer accounts with long-term potential. Monitor and evaluate monthly sales performance per customer using sales reporting tools. Provide regular feedback to the Regional Manager on customer activities, opportunities, and challenges. Collaborate with customers to align their marketing efforts with the companys strategic direction. Support warehouse and logistics teams with route planning to improve efficiency. Organize and host trade events to promote products and strengthen client relationships. Drive and monitor promotional campaigns to grow market share and customer engagement. Assist with credit applications and support debtor teams with collections and customer account queries. Monitor outstanding payments and help mitigate credit risk. Ensure proper use and care of company assets such as vehicles and equipment. Attend and contribute to monthly strategy and review meetings. Stock Control Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure product availability. Support the management of consignment stock when necessary. Track customer purchasing trends to improve forecasting accuracy. Monitor and facilitate the rotation of stock to avoid aging inventory. Assist customers in optimizing their own stock levels and mix. Compliance Adhere to company procedures, industry regulations, and internal controls. Identify potential risks and escalate them to management as needed. Promote responsible and cost-effective use of company resources to prevent waste. Customer Service Maintain strong, professional relationships with customers and internal teams. Resolve customer issues quickly and effectively, maintaining high levels of service. Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure all customer queries are addressed. Provide product and pricing training sessions to customers, ensuring they remain informed of any changes. Keep the customer database current by adding or updating information as needed. Assist in providing marketing materials such as POS displays and promotional stands. Cost Control Monitor and manage operational costs and use of company resources. Ensure correct pricing structures are applied and regularly updated. Track gross profit margins and implement corrective actions where necessary. Report any financial deviations or overspending to the Regional Manager promptly. Candidate Profile Qualifications Minimum: Diploma or Certificate (NQF Level 5 or equivalent) Preferred: Additional qualifications in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management Experience Minimum: Up to 3 years in a similar role within a manufacturing, sales, or customer-facing environment Preferred: Background in FMCG, automotive, or related industries Technical Competencies Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is advantageous Understanding of stock management, sales processes, and credit control Behavioral Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships High attention to detail and accuracy Results-oriented with a proactive mindset Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively Professional, reliable, and self-motivated
