Job Description

Position: Admissions Administrator Location: Blairgowrie, Randburg Industry: Education / School Administration Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 (depending on experience) Job Purpose The school is seeking an experienced Admissions Administrator to manage the full learner admissions process from initial enquiry through to placement and enrolment. The role requires strong administrative skills, attention to compliance with Department of Education requirements, and excellent communication with parents and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage the complete admissions process from enquiry to final placement of learners Liaise with parents, guardians, and prospective families professionally and efficiently Ensure all learner documentation meets Department of Education requirements Maintain accurate admissions records and learner files Track application progress and follow up where required Coordinate assessments, interviews, and placement processes where applicable Provide admissions reports and updates to school management Handle general admissions-related administration and correspondence Minimum Requirements Proven experience in a school admissions or education administration role (essential) Strong understanding of Department of Education compliance and documentation Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously Proficient in MS Office and school administration systems (advantageous) Personal Attributes Professional and approachable manner Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Confidentiality and integrity when handling learner information Working Hours Standard school administrative hours (to be confirmed)
