About the Role
Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Bloemfontein, South Africa. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective inspection, maintenance, and performance of flight simulation devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and check all flight simulation devices on aircraft.
- Analyze faults and malfunctions, including hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults using charts, graphs, and technical diagrams.
- Inspect devices, identify malfunctions through observation, and generate detailed reports.
- Assess the feasibility of repairing parts instead of replacing them.
- Use service manuals to identify and define faults.
- Replace components, calibrate, and balance simulator flight devices.
- Determine root causes of simulator flight device malfunctions.
- Evaluate the performance of flight simulation personnel.
- Manage and monitor training programs for simulation personnel.
- Provide technical training and guidance to simulation flight personnel at all stages.
Requirements
- Specialization: Simulation Flight
- Minimum of 5 years experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Recent experience (within the last 5 years) working directly on aircraft.
- Proficient in inspecting, supervising, and repairing faults.
- Strong familiarity with charts, graphs, and technical documentation.
- Proven ability to resolve malfunctions in flight simulation devices.
