About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Building Inspector to join our team at a prestigious private hospital in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building inspection, with specific experience in the hospital or healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of hospital facilities, buildings, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Verify that construction, renovation, and maintenance projects adhere to applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and healthcare facility guidelines.
  • Assess the quality of construction workmanship and materials used in hospital facilities and recommend corrective actions as necessary to maintain standards.
  • Identify potential hazards, safety concerns, and deficiencies in building systems, structures, and equipment, and recommend solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and hospital staff to address inspection findings, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to hospital staff on building code requirements, regulatory compliance, and best practices for maintaining a safe and functional healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Building Inspector, with specific experience in the hospital or healthcare sector required.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to healthcare facilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and assess complex building issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Certification as a Building Inspector or similar credentials preferred.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools, software, and documentation systems.
