About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Women’s Hairstylist based in the INK area to join our team. As a hairstylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to female clients, working with diverse hair types, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer consultations to female clients, helping them choose hairstyles that match their personal style and hair condition.
- Perform haircuts, styling (including blowouts, curls, silk press, etc.), and protective styling (e.g., braids, twists, updos).
- Provide hair coloring services, including root touch-ups, balayage, highlights, and toning.
- Apply chemical treatments such as relaxers, keratin treatments, and deep conditioning masks.
- Maintain high hygiene standards, sanitizing tools and workstations regularly.
- Recommend home-care products and maintenance tips to clients.
- Keep up with the latest hair trends, techniques, and products suited to women’s hair.
Requirements
- Matric certificate
- Minimum 6 months1 year experience as a hairstylist for women
- Comfortable working with all hair textures, especially natural and chemically treated hair
- Must be based in or near the INK Area and have reliable transportation for travel to Mount Edgecombe and Durban North
- Excellent customer service, time management, and communication skills
- Punctual, professional, and presentable at all times.
