About the Role

Aleon Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fluid Buyer/Stock Controller to join our team in Nelspruit. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fluid product supply chain, interacting with various stakeholders across our multi-branch network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous review of all group fluid products stock levels and replenishment needs.
  • Review product specifications & align to group & market requirements.
  • Identify and suggest new / alternative products.
  • Ensure correct Syspro fluid product descriptions and product grouping etc.
  • Identify & continuous review of both local and foreign suppliers.
  • Relationship building with both local and foreign suppliers.
  • Forward planning with branch involvement and order placement of products ordered on group basis in line with approved stockholding limits.
  • Maximise price, credit terms and transport/freight costs.
  • Track both local and international pricing trends and review impact on current stock cost, orders placed and price lists.
  • Monthly review of group/branches stock levels in line with agreed stock levels and realign where necessary.
  • Monthly review of group/branches excess, slow moving, redundant and obsolete stock.
  • Assist individual branches at supplier level with large enquiries.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the buying of Steel Pipes, Fittings and Flanges.
  • Experienced in both local and international buying of fluid products.
  • Excellent fluid product knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel computer skills are required and knowledge of Syspro would be advantageous.
