About the Role
The Company is seeking an experienced Industrial Spray Painter with a minimum of 3 years experience to join their team in Johannesburg. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for spraying and coating steel plates for conveyor structures in a heavy industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare steel surfaces for coating
- Apply industrial coatings to conveyor structures and steel plates
- Ensure even coverage and correct film thickness
- Inspect and rectify defects (runs, sags, holidays)
- Maintain spray equipment and follow safety standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years industrial spray painting experience
- Experience spraying steel plates and structural components
- Proficient with airless sprayers, conventional spray guns & pressure pots
- Knowledge of epoxies, urethanes, primers & enamels
- Ability to mix and apply 2K coatings correctly
- Understanding of Dry Film Thickness (DFT) control
- Strong attention to detail
- Hardworking, reliable team player with a positive attitude
