About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Acquisition Manager (SCM) to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the acquisition process, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and managing stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the acquisition process, ensuring compliance with public sector supply chain management regulatory frameworks.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including government departments and private sector entities.
- Develop and implement contract management strategies to optimize procurement outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide expert advice on procurement policy directives and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Bachelor of Technology Degree or Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Law, Economics, or Accounting.
- At least 5 years of experience in an SCM environment, with at least 3 years at a supervisory level.
- Knowledge of the public sector supply chain management regulatory framework, including:
- The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa
- PFMA
- PPPFA
- Related regulations and policy directives
- Knowledge of the Bid Committee system.
- Knowledge of National Treasury (prescribed) reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of the public sector strategic planning process.
- Project Management and Negotiation skills.
