About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Solar Site Manager to oversee the installation, construction, and commissioning of commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects. The successful candidate will manage daily site operations, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations on solar PV construction sites
- Supervise installation teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications
- Monitor project progress, quality control, and site productivity
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce HSE regulations
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment usage
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical plans
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, clients, and stakeholders
- Compile site reports, progress updates, and handover documentation
- Troubleshoot on-site technical and operational challenges
Requirements
- 35 years experience in solar PV or construction site management
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems and installation processes
- Understanding of health & safety regulations and site compliance
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple site activities
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Renewable Energy (if applicable)
