About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Control Room Manager to oversee the daily operations of our control room, ensuring optimal performance and security monitoring in a high-security environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of control room operators, enforcing compliance with security protocols and procedures, and analyzing security threats to ensure timely and effective response.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the control room
- Supervise and coordinate control room operators to enforce compliance with security protocols and procedures
- Monitor, manage, and optimize surveillance systems, including HikCentral and Cathexis
- Analyze security threats, alarms, and incidents, taking immediate and appropriate action in coordination with site security teams
- Act as a key liaison with Mine Management, representing the company in formal SRM reviews
- Develop and implement control room policies, procedures, and reporting structures
- Conduct training and refresher courses for control room staff on system operations and emergency response protocols
- Maintain accurate records and produce high-level reports and presentations on incidents, security breaches, and system performance
Requirements
- PSIRA Registration (Grade A) mandatory
- Valid South African drivers license and South African citizenship mandatory
- Clear criminal record (verification required)
- Proven experience in a control room environment, preferably in mining or high-risk security
- Strong knowledge of security systems, including HikCentral and Cathexis
