About the Role
The Mooi River Farm Maintenance Manager is a key position responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and maintenance of farm equipment, infrastructure, and systems. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, manage a team, and implement efficient maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on water pumps, irrigation systems, and other farm equipment
- Fix punctures in tires and perform basic repairs on vehicles
- Maintain and repair irrigation centre pivots and plumbing systems
- Weld and perform general maintenance tasks as required
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Relevant certificates (e.g. mechanical or electrical certifications)
- Minimum of 3 years previous farm maintenance experience
- Proven experience in maintaining water pumps, fixing punctures, irrigation centre pivots, plumbing systems, and performing general maintenance tasks
- Ability to speak Zulu or Xhosa is advantageous
