About the Role
Construct Executive Search is seeking an experienced and skilled Professional Structural Engineer/Technologist to join their team in the Eastern Cape region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, excellent project management skills, and proficiency in industry-standard software.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, design, and contract administration of building and engineering projects from inception to completion
- Managing design teams to complete tasks and produce high-quality deliverables on time and within budget
- Designing bulk water, water treatment works, stormwater management, and water retaining structures
- Conducting design calculations, creating drawings, schedules, and reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on structural engineering
- Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist
- 3-5 years of post-registration experience in the planning, design, and contract administration of building and engineering projects
- Strong background in the design of bulk water, water treatment works, stormwater management, and water retaining structures (advantageous)
- Experience with managing design teams
- Proficient in Master Series or Prokon software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Office Project
- Valid driver’s license
- Own transportation
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist.
