About the Role
German Auto Service Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service/Workshop Foreman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be between the ages of 35 and 55, fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English, and possess a passion and knowledge for vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Team Management: Supervise and manage mechanics, technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Work Allocation: Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their skills and expertise, ensuring a balanced workload.
- Quality Control: Monitor and evaluate the quality of work performed, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Fault Finding and Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing support and expertise to the team.
- Customer Relations and Assistance: Maintain strong relationships with customers, assist them, address their concerns, and ensure their satisfaction with services provided.
- Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining records, scheduling, and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurate (quotes, reports, etc.).
- Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering, receiving, and storage of parts and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient inventory management.
