About the Role

We are seeking a technically minded Sales Specialist to drive new business and grow existing accounts in our Cape Town City Centre office. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities in manufacturing sectors, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, and delivering practical solution-based improvements to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new opportunities in manufacturing sectors
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Meet or exceed sales targets
  • Assess production processes and recommend improvements
  • Advise on machinery, materials, and workflows
  • Provide technical guidance on wood products and applications
  • Conduct regular on-site visits to factories and workshops
  • Present solutions and prepare quotations/proposals
  • Maintain a strong and active sales pipeline

Requirements

  • Minimum experience in industrial or technical sales
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and/or wood materials
  • Proven ability to generate business, close deals, and manage clients
  • Preferred experience in furniture, woodworking machinery, footwear, or related sectors
  • Exposure to capital equipment or consultative selling

Qualifications

  • Valid drivers license and own vehicle (required)
