About the Role
As a Financial Accountant in our Cape Town City Centre office, you will be instrumental in driving the financial health of our organization. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to ensure seamless financial management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Managing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Supporting audits and liaising with external auditors
- Overseeing reconciliations, journals, and general ledger accuracy
- Assisting with financial reporting for public sector-related projects
Requirements
- A completed BCom degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
- Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles
- Exposure to the public sector (highly advantageous)
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and compliance
- Excellent analytical, communication, and time-management skills
