About the Role
As a Fleet Controller at our company, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fleet management, ensuring the efficient operation of our vehicles and drivers. This involves monitoring fleet performance, tracking fuel consumption, route planning, and scheduling, as well as coordinating driver schedules, routes, and assignments to ensure compliance with regulations and Company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage fleet operations, tracking, fuel consumption, route planning and scheduling.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure the fleet is maintained, including scheduling of services and COF inspections for vehicles to remain in a safe and roadworthy condition.
- Assign and ensure execution of tasks to drivers.
- Liaise with drivers on a regular basis providing updates and resolving any issues.
- Track orders and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and safety standards.
- Generate reports on fleet performance, efficiency, productivity.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Previous experience in fleet management (at least 2 years) or related field.
- Knowledge of fleet management and technology (e.g. tracking).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and organizational abilities.
- Sober habits.
- Willing to work long hours, public holidays, and weekends.
