About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Deli Manager to oversee the daily operations of our deli department within a fast-paced retail environment. With a strong focus on customer service and team management, we require a skilled professional to lead our team and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management: Plan and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team members
  • Monitor performance and address disciplinary matters
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve queries or complaints
  • Food Preparation & Safety: Oversee preparation and presentation of deli products
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and minimise waste
  • Financial & Operational Management: Manage budgets, control costs, and maximise profitability
  • Analyse sales and implement growth strategies
  • Maintain attractive product displays
  • Ensure deli equipment is properly maintained

Requirements

  • FMCG deli experience (essential)
  • Relevant chef/catering experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
