About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Deli Manager to oversee the daily operations of our deli department within a fast-paced retail environment. With a strong focus on customer service and team management, we require a skilled professional to lead our team and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Plan and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members
- Monitor performance and address disciplinary matters
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve queries or complaints
- Food Preparation & Safety: Oversee preparation and presentation of deli products
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and minimise waste
- Financial & Operational Management: Manage budgets, control costs, and maximise profitability
- Analyse sales and implement growth strategies
- Maintain attractive product displays
- Ensure deli equipment is properly maintained
Requirements
- FMCG deli experience (essential)
- Relevant chef/catering experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
