Job Description

Our client is a well-established logistics and supply chain organisation operating across multiple distribution channels and regions. The business is expanding and requires a Financial Director to join the executive team to strengthen financial governance, improve margins and support strategic growth initiatives. This is not a back-office finance role you will be deeply embedded in operations, pricing, contracts and expansion projects. The environment is fast paced, operationally intensive and highly commercial, offering real influence over business decisions and performance. The successful candidate will gain direct exposure to leadership decision-making, play a key role in scaling the organisation and shape financial strategy in a company where finance drives value creation. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic financial leadership and partner with EXCO on business decisions Drive budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning Analyse route, fleet and contract profitability and implement cost optimisation initiatives Manage cash flow, working capital and funding requirements Oversee compliance, audit, tax and governance Lead and develop the finance team and improve financial processes and reporting Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: CA(SA) / CIMA or equivalent qualification Experience: Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience Proven experience in logistics / transport / distribution / supply chain environment Executive or senior finance leadership experience Strong operational and commercial finance exposure Experience managing large cost structures and high transaction volumes Skills: Advanced financial modelling and analysis ERP systems (SAP / Sage / Oracle or similar) Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership ability Apply now!
