This opportunity sits within a well-established industrial operation, supporting plant and fitment centre activities through accurate financial reporting, cost analysis, and strong financial control. Reporting into the Business Controlling & IT Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, supporting month-end processes, and driving cost improvement initiatives aligned to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation Manage accounts payable (local and foreign) Perform cost analysis, including expense reviews and variances against standard cost of sales Manage fixed assets and maintain accurate asset registers Compile and process journals and support month-end close processes Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and inventory reporting Support internal control assessments and annual statutory audits Provide timely and accurate financial information for monthly and periodic plant closings Participate in and support stock take processes for the plant and fitment centre Drive cost improvement initiatives aligned to continuous improvement methodologies Job Experience and Skills Required Education: Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting (minimum requirement) Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in finance, controlling, or management accounting Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous Skills: Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Sound knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP / IFRS) Proficiency in accounting systems and tools (SAP and advanced Excel) Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines Other non-negotiables: Ability to work in a plant-based, operational environment Strong ownership mindset and ability to work cross-functionally Apply now!
