About the Role

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking an experienced Dispensary Manager to join their Malvern Park store team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the dispensary, including self-medication and staff, while ensuring the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure dispensary and self-medication areas are adequately staffed
• Adhere to Good Pharmacy Practice rules and regulations
• Regularly dispose of expired stock and keep it separate from usable stock
• Investigate and manage negative stock daily
• Prepare for stocktake in advance and follow the stock ordering process
• Maintain accurate records of Schedule 6 medication and ensure its secure storage
• Capture script details accurately and verify patient information on the system
• Provide accurate instructions to patients regarding medicine use
• Stay up-to-date with changes in medical aid procedures and requirements
• Process paperwork for accurate submission of claims to medical aids

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• BPharm or equivalent qualification
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
• Registered tutor
• Unisolv experience
• Experience in supervising staff
• Computer literate
• MS Office skills
• Strong numerical skills
• Strong command of English and a second language
