About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will bring strong management accounting, costing, and financial analysis skills to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to senior management, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and driving continuous improvement through automation and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly divisional management accounts with clear, insightful commentary
  • Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods
  • Support the development of dashboards and management reports for senior leadership
  • Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Consolidate departmental and divisional budgets into group-level submissions
  • Update forecasts based on changing performance trends and business conditions
  • Conduct contribution margin analysis by product, customer, division, and region
  • Analyse manufacturing overheads, recovery rates, and recommend adjustments
  • Review cost recoveries, recharges, and interdepartmental allocations for accuracy
  • Assess production costs outside the BOM and ensure correct treatment and recovery
  • Provide management accounting support to foreign distribution entities
  • Analyse multi-currency results, margins, allocations, and transfer pricing impacts
  • Compile consolidated local and foreign management reporting for group review

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years management accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong costing, contribution analysis, and margin reporting experience
  • Proven budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis capability
  • Experience working with multi-currency environments and/or export-focused operations
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort working with large data sets
  • Experience supporting multiple entities, including foreign distribution operations
  • Month-end reporting experience with IFRS-aligned processes
