About the Role
We are seeking an experienced External Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, responsible for driving sales growth and building long-term relationships with customers. As a key member of our sales team, you will be expected to actively pursue new business opportunities, develop customer relationships, and provide tailored product demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively pursue new business opportunities
- Develop relationships with existing customers
- Provide tailored product demonstrations
- Offer on-site technical support for pneumatic systems
- Troubleshoot issues with pneumatic systems and offer solutions
- Generate accurate and competitive quotations based on customer requirements and specifications
- Follow up on quotations to convert leads into sales
- Manage the invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate billing
- Nurture long-term relationships with customers through consistent follow-up and personalized service
- Stay up to date with the latest product offerings, industry trends, and technologies
- Provide regular sales reports
- Update the CRM system
- Ensure all customer communications are documented for future reference and analysis
- Meet and achieve agreed sales targets
- Assist with the annual stock take, ensuring accurate product counts and reporting any discrepancies
Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience within the Pneumatics Equipment Sector
Strong understanding of pneumatic products, systems, and applications
Proven track record in sales and technical sales, with a focus on closing deals and maintaining customer relationships
Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications
Familiarity with use of Pastel is advantageous

Matric Technical Qualification (Mechanical)
