About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and hands-on Food & Beverage Duty Manager to join our team at our Resort in Knysna, where we deliver exceptional guest experiences and strive for service excellence. As a proactive leader with strong attention to detail, you will be instrumental in driving our department’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Be interactive, visible, and proactive in all public areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Oversee staff readiness, grooming, professional etiquette, and overall performance.
- Ensure all outlets are clean, well-stocked, functional, and consistently delivering a quality offering.
- Manage and control OE, linen, beverages, and consumables.
- Monitor costs, implement controls, and assist in achieving departmental targets.
- Provide on-the-floor coaching, training, and supervision to maintain service standards.
- Foster a culture of fairness, respect, discipline, and professionalism.
- Actively engage with guests on the floor to ensure exceptional service and memorable experiences.
- Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with all legislative requirements.
Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric). A Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management will be an advantage. Minimum 23 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
