Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the cold store warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of products
- Ensure efficient and accurate inventory management, including regular stock takes and cycle counts
- Implement and maintain food safety standards and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring high levels of performance and productivity
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and on-time delivery
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate warehouse activities and support production schedules
- Implement and maintain health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing a cold store warehouse in the food production industry
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with warehouse management software and systems
- Forklift and other relevant certifications are a plus
- 3 to 5 years of experience in sales roles in FMCG preferably wholesale / Distributors, and/or Foodservice
- Able to read reviews, forecast numbers, etc.
