About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Security Engineer to join our client’s team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security engineering and a proven track record of managing and maintaining enterprise-grade security infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex enterprise-grade security infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures
- Conduct threat mitigation and vulnerability remediation activities
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards such as ISO/IEC 27002 in regulated environments
- Assess, remediate, and mitigate risks across cloud and on-premise environments
- Configure and manage Cisco firewall configurations and perimeter defense technologies
- Implement Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), DDoS protection tools, SIEM platforms, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security or Computer Science
- CCNP Security, CISSP, or equivalent industry-recognized security certifications
- 6 – 8 years of Network Security engineering experience
