The Role: Product & Manufacturing Engineering Executive The purpose of this role is to provide senior leadership to the engineering, maintenance, and toolroom functions within a high-performance manufacturing environment. It exists to ensure engineering excellence, efficient production processes, and continuous operational improvement to maintain global competitiveness in cost, quality, and delivery. The focus areas include supporting manufacturing operations, driving technical innovation, and maintaining world-class engineering standards through cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Lead engineering functions with 10 to 15 years of relevant engineering experience and at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Provide strategic leadership to ensure reliable and cost-effective manufacture of products while maintaining product master data integrity in ERP systems. Serve as the Competent Person for Supervisor of Machinery (GMR 2.1) and provide full management oversight of the maintenance department. Drive the implementation of preventative maintenance programmes and systems to ensure tooling and manufacturing equipment availability. Lead technical investigations and root cause analysis internally and with customers to ensure sustainable quality standards. Develop and present CAPEX proposals aimed at improving production capacity, efficiency, or cost reduction. Foster cross-functional collaboration between engineering, production, quality, and supply chain to support engineering capability. Manage configuration control and engineering documentation including Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing structures. About You B.Eng or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. 10 to 15 years of relevant engineering experience. Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership or management role. Strong exposure to manufacturing environments involving machining and/or assembly operations. Project management experience. Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Solid understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Strong leadership capability within a production environment. Advanced mechanical engineering knowledge and strategic engineering planning skills. Ability to perform root cause analysis and technical investigation. Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) (Nice-to-have). Experience in high-precision or complex manufacturing environments (Nice-to-have). Exposure to advanced manufacturing optimisation initiatives (Nice-to-have).
