About the Role

Hire Resolve, a reputable recruitment agency, are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our client’s team in Cape Town. The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing and refining our client’s demand forecasting processes to ensure accurate product demand projections and optimise inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand upcoming promotions, new product launches, and changes in customer demand
  • Monitor inventory levels and work closely with production and procurement teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained
  • Analyse demand data to identify trends and patterns, and make data-driven recommendations for inventory management
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and ingredients to meet production demands
  • Review and adjust demand forecasts regularly to reflect changes in market conditions and business needs
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on demand planning performance and key metrics to senior management

Requirements

About the Role

The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing accurate forecasts, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to ensure optimal supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts for products based on historical data, market trends, and customer demand
  • Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather input and incorporate market intelligence into forecast
  • Communicate forecast changes and inventory levels effectively to cross-functional teams
  • Analyze and track key performance indicators related to demand planning and inventory management
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and monitor supplier performance

Requirements

About the Role

As a Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in analysing sales data and market trends to forecast demand and ensure optimal inventory levels for our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse historical sales data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather insights and align on demand expectations.
  • Develop inventory strategies to meet customer requirements and minimize excess or shortage of stock.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, taking into account lead time, production capacity, and supply chain constraints.
  • Conduct regular reviews of forecast accuracy and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Identify and address demand-related issues, including stockouts, backorders, and overstocks.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and market trends that may impact demand.
