About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is searching for a passionate and creative Head Chef with a strong love for wine, flavour and culinary storytelling to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. This exciting international opportunity is perfect for a chef with solid wine and food pairing knowledge, ideally someone familiar with the Winelands style of cooking and hospitality, who is ready for a new adventure.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive menu creativity and seasonal innovation
- Work closely with a Sommelier and senior leadership team
- Host wine dinners, chef’s tables and curated culinary events
- Focus on local sourcing and farm to fork ingredients
- Lead and mentor a strong kitchen team, ensuring consistency across both outlets
Requirements
- Strong background in wine driven gastronomy
- Proven ability to deliver premium quality cuisine with thoughtful pairings
- Confident and engaging personality with guests
- Strong understanding of cost control, sustainability and kitchen management
- Experience within a vineyard or winery restaurant would be highly advantageous
